 It is very important to have a good working environment in company so that employees give their best. The iteration rate of employee will also reduce if company has good and healthy environment. Profitability or production of company increase. If a company has good and safe working environment, give opportunities to employees to take their decisions and work to achieve objective of the company.

It is important that employees should come  with a smile to company and with the aim that he has to do something good for the company and whenever he goes back to his home he should not have any stress related to company in evening when he is spending time with his family, such an environment in a company is called a good and healthy environment or a great place to work.

There are many ways to make firm a great place to work, here we discuss few points that makes good and healthy environment of company.

1. Treat your employees as your customers:

Most important resource of any company is employees (man power) of that company. So it is important to treat, employees as your customers. This will increase the moral of employees and they will take the ownership of the company. If employees of company happy they will produce a good quality of product and that same will delivered to the customer. But how to treat employees as customer, first listen them, take their feedback and improve accordingly. Improve the process and system that make employees feel comfortable and happy while working in company. Give them respect, this will increase moral of employees.

2. Flexible timming: 

It is important to reach the office on time but this time bound sometimes put extra pressure on employees to reach on time. To reduce pressure most of the companies started flexible timing for the employees that is they come 1-2 hours before or after the actual scheduled time and they go back accordingly after completing the number of working hours of a day assigned by the company for their employees. Flexible timing is important as many a time there are some emergency in home, traffic jam or breakdown in vehicle may delay employees to reach at office. This makes unnecessary pressure from the seniors to the employees, and in great place to work environment it is important to release all the pressure from them, so that they can perform better for company. 

3. Have trust on employees:

If you trust someone the moral of the person will also increase. Like in circus when one performer jump and hold other performer you will notice that second performer never miss to hold the first performer this is just because first performer have 100% trust on second performer, that is why second performer give his best and make sure that he never lost the trust of the first performer. 
Similarly in company if senior management trust on junior management or operators, they will try thier best and make sure that they will never loose the trust. Trusting make a feeling of oneness between the employees and employer, this will create a family like environment in the company. This also help employees to give their 100% performance everytime.
Trust within the team helps to achieve the target much faster rate and they will always get positive results. Team always remain motivated if leader trust his team.

4. Appreciate employees:

Some leaders always see negativity in the work done by his juniors, this decrease moral of employees and efficiency of work also decrease and it also create negativity in working environment.
It is not money/high packages that makes working environment great, there are other things also, one of the most important way to create healthy environment is to Appreciate employees who have done really a good job. Appreciate employees in front of everyone, this has two advantage, one, moral of appreciated employees increase and second, other employees also work hard to get appreciation.
It is well said that when ever you want to give negative feedback give him alone and appreciate in front of everyone. This increase respect for seniors and makes firm great place to work.

5. Give regular feedback:

Good leader always motivate his team and give facilities so that they do better and achieve common goal of company. It is also important for leader to give regular feedback to the members of his team, this will help members to understand where they stand and what should to do to improve. Regular feedback increase the respect of leader in front of his team and reduce the bais decision. In regular feedback leader should give feedback related to positive point as well as negative points and also help members to give suggestions how to overcome from their negative points and also tell how to strengthen their positive points.
 Regular feedback also increase positive competition within the team. Positive competition always makes the work environment great place to work and increase the moral of employees of the company.

6. Professional training:

Professional training is set of training required to increase the knowledge related to professional works, different companies have different set of professional works.
In professional training training related to company policies, vission, mission and objectives are also included, which give employees feeling of oneness with company.
 Professional training helps employees to get their work easily and they can do some Kaizen to make their work easy. This all increase interest in their work, which in turn increase moral of employees as well as increase efficiency in work. This helps to turn firm a great place to work.

7. Fairness during appraisal:

Fairness in any work is very important, so it is important during appraisal of employees also, best employees should be get better than the rest. It is important to note that timely promotion (as per company's police) or increase in salary is not always works, it is also important that good employees should get appreciation from higher authorities or they are appreciated in front of all, this make their moral that next level, this also helps them to motivate themself to work even much better. Unbiasness with employees motivate them to work better. 

In appreciation, employee may get a family tour, so that whenever he get back from the tour he works more creatively as he will come with fresh mind. Stress level also minimum, this again makes a great place to work for the employees.

8. Give responsibility:

A person gets bore with his daily routine work and loose his interest and productivity into his original work. So, it is important that employees should get an additional responsibility other than his daily routine work so that the creativity in his work not only remain but also increase. This also help to increase creativity and productivity in his daily routine work, as new idea will generate to make his work more simpler and faster. 
Senior management can make number of teams and employees can be the part of that teams where one can work other than his daily routine work. Teams can be like, safety team, training team, take care of tpm.
Give them some extra projects related to increase productivity, increase performance of other employees,  training related to company policy or can be a part of canteen committee etc. But it is important that employees should get a team of his own interest.
This all increase the creativity and the productivity of the employee and makes a great place to work for the employee.

9. Support Diversity:

In a company employees comes from a different locations, different community,  different gender, belongs to different age groups, so it is important that employer should respect them and look or treat them as one team. 
As they are working in a same location and  they all are now part of the company so it is important all of them to work together as a family members. 
Employer should respect all of them and if possible they can celebrate important festivals of employees belongs to different religions. This make them to share good things of each. This make them feel better while working and get a belief that they are belongs to one family.
This always make a better place to work, in this environment employees give extra efforts to get company on top.

10. Other Facilities:

It is always good to have something extra in same rate, like you will delight if someone give you extra cheese on a pizza on the rate of normal pizza, it will always makes you feel happy, similarly in firm if you gets something extra other then your salary will definitely makes you feel happy. 
Other facilities include sports clubs, gym, flexible timing, higher education facility, shopping vouchers. Employees feel happy if they are transportation facilities form home.
These extra facilities, makes employees happy and makes great place to work.

Why company should be a great place to work?

An employee spend almost 50% of his time of a day in a company and it is important that we should feel better and safe while working, by then only he can give his 100%. 
  • If company is great place to work then employees mental health remain in good condition which will directly increase the profitability of company.
  • Healthy environment of company bound to stay within company and iteration rate of employees will decrease, which help to company to reduce expenses required to trainee new employees.
  • Good environment of company give branding or mouth publicity which can reduce advertisement cost of company.
  • Healthy environment of company encourage positive competition within employees, which help company to reach new miles.

Note: All above ways makes your 98% employees happy and they only make great place to work. It is very difficult to please rest 2 % employees, as there is always some exception. We never make happy to very one, to make firm a great place to work, we should work that makes majority happy.
